Cottage

The toughest project, due to harsh conditions and labour shortages, clearly became our stepping stone into taking on projects involving civil work. The brief was to redo a single bedroom cottage into a four bedroom villa. Having the Architect and Contractor already in place and well-identified for their roles made it easy to start visualizing our scope, especially considering the site was at 7,000 ft above sea level. The views of the Himalayas were stunning, but the villa had to be a showstopper. The odd snowfall, rainwater harvesting and extreme cold were key features. The famous five Peach trees and two apple trees needed to be preserved. The transition from the exterior to the interior is a story in itself. Stunning, vibrant, happy, sun-filled, and ever-growing creeper stands testimony in itself.
